Baroque Bassoon
Tomasz Wesołowski was born in Gdańsk, Poland, where he pursued his studies in modern bassoon. After completing his master’s degree, he turned his attention to historical bassoon, studying at the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague and later at the Accademia Internazionale della Musica in Milan.
He is involved in a wide range of orchestral, chamber, and solo projects across Europe, Asia, and the United States, and performs regularly with ensembles such as B’Rock, Les Musiciens du Louvre, {oh!} Orkiestra Historyczna, Bach Collegium Japan, Capella Cracoviensis, Freiburger Barockorchester, Les Talens Lyriques, Gli Angeli Genève, Bach Akademie Stuttgart, Netherlands Bach Society and Arte dei Suonatori.
He has recorded for Channel Classics, naïve, Alpha, BIS, ORF, Claves, Brilliant Classics, DUX, Netflix and HBO. Tomasz teaches historical bassoon and chamber music at the Academy of Music in Poznań and the Academy of Music in Gdańsk, and he regularly gives masterclasses in Poland, Germany and Brazil.
